Last Line of Defense

Today I had the pleasure of speaking with Ian Burt, Goalie coach for Cornell University. Cornell’s #1 Goaltender Ben Scrivens is having one of the best seasons in the NCAA this year as he currently leads the country in goals-against average (1.27) and save percentage (.952).

Ian spoke with me about:

  • his background as a goalie coach
  • What his role is and how he works with goalies
  • tips for young goalies
  • some thoughts for goaltenders interested in NCAA hockey
  • and he takes a couple of reader questions from John in Minneapolis and Max in Haifax.

Have a listen and if you have any comments, please join in the conversation by leaving a comment below.
