2010 Atlanta Thrashers Mask for Goalie Chris Mason Goes Retro
Thanks to a reader who likes to stay in touch about new masks, we have new Thrashers goalie Chris Mason’s mask for the upcoming season. Apparently it was done by our friend Steve Nash at eyecandyair.com.
UPDATE: The Thrashers Web Site has been in touch with us. The images were first presented on their site and they are happy for inGoal readers to view the full Chris Mason mask gallery at their site.
I love the simple retro designs some guys are returning to – they have clean lines, remind us of our youth and are visible from the stands and on TV without a tight close up.

Hmmm…definitely different than most you see in the NHL nowadays. But it’s sharp. I must say I prefer ones with a bit more art on them, but I can see the draw of the simplicity.
This is my favorite mask of all time!
