Antti Niemi’s 2009-2010 Chicago Blackhawks Mask
If you are looking for Niemi’s San Jose Sharks Mask we have that too!
inGoal Magazine friend David Arrigo sent us these mask photos from rookie Anntti Niemi of the Chicago Blackhawks. While folks in Chi-Town are not too happy with Cristobal Huet’s play in net, Niemi has been a pleasant surprise. Not only were they not expecting him to play much, there are even suggestions that he made the team, at least in part, because Corey Crawford would not have to be exposed to waivers when he was sent down.
Good news for David as his mask is getting a lot more exposure than he might have expected.
Thank you to David for sending them to us for publication.

This one is sweet — one of the best yet.
I like Huet’s head dress and dream catcher paint job waaaaay better.
I like the combo of photorealism and graphics coming together like that. Maybe not exactly how I’d do it, but something we don’t see much and is a neat idea.
Nice change-up from the typical masks around the NHL. My previous mask had a similar scheme with a white owl against a black mask with purple-blue highlights. This mask kinda reminds me of it. Kinda surprising they left the Bauer logo smack dab in the middle of the hawk?!?
it is odd – but guess who pays the painter?
I like the mix of the realistic hawk with the aboriginal hawk. But I agree with Nick. I don’t like the Bauer logo on the hawk’s face. It looks like he’s eating a bowl of alphabits.
i think its a pretty good mask, i dont really like how the eagle is black, its hard to tell what it is from a long distance, also the jaw of his helmet is pretty samall so it dosent really give the artist much room,
