J-S Giguere’s New Leafs Mask 2010-2011

[wpfblike]
Guigere Leafs 2010-2011 by AllaireJ-S Giguere wears a mask done by Marlene Ross more often than not, but this weekend was back in the Ice Age inspired mask done by F-X Allaire, who just hapens to be the son of the legendary Leafs goalie coach. Allaire also did a radical new design for Roberto Luongo last year which has seen time on the practice rink, but not yet in a game.

Today F-X sent along some photos of a new mask he has finished for Giggy…the shots go from concept sketch to the final work without the clear coat.

Giggy wears Reebok-branded lids and Michel Lefebvre himself was to be padding and caging this mask before it went on to Toronto. F-X reports that the shell was made by Michel Doganori of Protechsport masks.

David is one of the founders of InGoal Magazine which he began in 2009. Of course he finds time for some goaltending of his own as well, and despite his age, clings desperately to the idea that some NHL team will call him to play for them - though in his mid-forties (OK, late 40s) it'll likely be for a practice when everyone else on their depth chart has the flu and the shooter tutor has gone in for repairs.

  2. This is terrible. Out of all things that you could put on a mask that represents the Toronto Maple Leafs….he goes with a red subway train, a terrible rendering of the CN Tower, and blue blood coming out of a leaf?

    Come on man!

  3. I like it a lot more than the ICE AGE make he did for him last season…this is an improvement. Although the design is a bit cartoonish for me…
