Just Released – Halak’s Second Blues Mask
Arrigo creates second look for the Blues new starter
inGoal has had a busy few days thanks to artist David Arrigo, and Jaro himself, giving us the first look at his new Blues mask. Today the second one was shown to the public by the Blues and Jaro has again said we can publish it here. Our thanks to him and to David for their support. Of course the Tweet from Halak’s agent Alan Walsh today sent a small flood of traffic our way as well – so if you’re on Twitter go follow him please!
Wondering what the design is all about? Please see the comments for a nice explanation – or add your thoughts!
David also painted Jaro’s Team Slovakia Olympic Mask.

Is anyone able to fill me on on what the stroy is behind the cowboy theme? I believe that is Lucky Luke on the one side, but what connection to the blues?
No link between Lucky Luke and the Blues. Lucky Luke was simply Halák’s favorite cartoon when he was a kid.
As for the beast on the other side, Halák had a bull painted on his mask every season he spend with the Canadiens. If I do not mistake, that’s because his zodiac sign is Taurus. He used it once as a metaphore to describe himself as patient and determined.
I have no idea to explain why the bull is playing guitar, though.
the bull is playing the blues?
The Bull is playing guitar because it’s the central instrument for playing the blues.
