Steve Nash of eyecandyair was kind enough to give us shots of the fantastic Tim Thomas Mask he designed and painted.  Steve has done every one of the Bruins’ reigning Vezina Trophy winner’s masks – and will be working on an Olympic mask now as well.

Tim credited Steve with the concept:

“It was actually my painter’s idea. Fred Cusick, his picture’s on the mask. Apparently, one of his last Facebook entries before he passed away was something to the effect of, ‘I can’t wait for the Bruins to start up again. I can’t wait to watch Tim Thomas.’ So it was a way to honor a revered announcer from the Boston area for so many years.”

Thanks to Steve – if you could take a few minutes to check out his web site you’ll see some fantastic work there. We’ll be chatting with Steve soon for inGoal Magazine – if you have any questions for him, leave them in the comments or drop me a line.
