Two New Masks for Kipper – One Retro
Ever wonder what one of today’s top artists could do with the sort of canvas to work on that the original goalies provided? It looks like Calgary star Mikka Kiprusoff wondered as well.
The cage on today’s helmets provide great protection but they also take away valuable artistic workspace. Just this morning Kipper’s longtime artist Todd Miska of Miska Designs delivered him a new helmet for this season. And one for his home.
The new game helmet features the traditional skulls design but this time with a black background.
The retro lid looks like a Mike Liut style mask painted as Miska would have done if Kipper were wearing this sort of mask.
What do you think of them? – Check out the shots after the jump.

Those are awesome!!!
I prefer it black! But I’m not a big fan of the skull on the chin…
I think his black one needs just a little more red. Otherwise it’s awesome.
Ugh, Bleeding Cowboy. That font needs to go away.
Be wicked to play in those classic-style masks.
those are the best masks EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Big fan of Kipper!
Too much black. The retro red is 100% better.
