Lost in the (well deserved) hysteria around the Stanley Cup  Game 7 Friday was the Hershey Bears winning their 10th Calder Cup.

Hershey’s rookie goalie Michal Neuvirth not only won the Jack A. Butterfield trophy for playoff MVP, but also tied the AHL playoff wins record with 16 victories.

Here are some reports from:

  • Stack the Pads
  • Japers Rink asks, “So, while Neuvy’s body of post-season work is most impressive, what does it tell us about his abilities to perform at a consistently high level in the NHL show?  Is it a springboard to NHL greatness, or an early career plateau of pro playoff success?”
  • Patriot-News photos from the Game 6
