  • As anticipated, Manitoba Moose goalie Cory Schneider was awarded the Aldege (Baz) Bastien Memorial Award for the top goaltender in the league. The 23-year-old was drafted by Vancouver 26th overall in 2004, has a 1.99 goals-against average, and a .929 save percentage. (Vancouver Canucks and Admirals Short Shifts)
  • In other awards, Justin Peters was awarded the First Star of the Season by the Albany River Rats booster club. (Phil-ing in the Blanks)
