AHL Goalie News — Friday, Oct. 2
The AHL season starts tonight with only two games but all three Texas teams playing. Texas meets San Antonio, and Houston bookends its summer facing Manitoba, to whom they lost out of the playoffs in May.

- The Binghamton Senators had a nice trio of goalies competing for the two AHL slots, but ultimately sent Chris Holt to ECHL Elmira. Mike Brodeur and Andy Chiodo will man the pipes for Bingo for now. (Binghamton Press & Sun-Bulletin)

- John Curry, assigned to the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins from Pittsburgh’s camp, is out to prove he belongs in the NHL backing up Marc-Andre Fleury. (Citizens Voice)
