  • Rochester Americans G David Shantz had a whirlwind call-up yesterday. He was dressed with only 8 minutes to spare before puck drop and then was given the start, in which he stopped 51 of 53 shots to keep it tied through OT, but let in all three shootout attempts for the loss to Binghamton.   • Lindsay Kramer reports Syracuse Crunch G Dan LaCosta is frustrated after being yanked in Saturday night’s barn burner against Lake Erie, which ended 8-5 in favor of Syracuse. (Crunch Hockey blog)
