Sorry for the lack of AHL updates. Been under the weather and, simultaneously, playing too much of my own hockey, which is why I was under the weather, but you never say no to free ice time, right?

  • After crushing spirits around the West Division, the Texas Stars finally met their match in Lake Erie rookie Trevor Cann, who, along with a defense that allowed ZERO shots on goal in the second period, shut the Stars out 4-0 Tuesday night in Cedar Park, TX. (Plain Dealer)

  • Aaron Sorochan, rookie netminder for the Springfield Falcons didn’t exactly have the fairy tale introduction to the pros he’d hoped for, getting shelled by Manchester Sunday. (The Republican)
