Game Reports
It was a quiet Sunday night for goaltenders.
Backup Steve Valiquette gets the shutout as the Rangers beat Anaheim and J.S. Giguere 3-0
“Valley made some big saves at some key times. He played very well. He goes about his business. He’s kind of a forgotten man. If we want to get where we want to be, he is going to have to play well for us and he certainly played well for us tonight.”
– Rangers coach John Tortorella
I wonder what size pads the 6’7″ Valiquette will be wearing under the new regulations?
Valiquette had his four-month old son in the crowd to see him blank the ducks.
This one wasn’t up when we published early this morning. It’s nice to see Ozzie off to a good start. Wings, Ozzie deny the Ovechkin show
and another late published goalie story comes from Ottawa where Brian Elliot got his first win of the season Elliott rises to occasion for Senators
