Game Reports

It was a quiet Sunday night for goaltenders.

Backup Steve Valiquette gets the shutout as the Rangers beat Anaheim and J.S. Giguere 3-0

“Valley made some big saves at some key times. He played very well. He goes about his business. He’s kind of a forgotten man. If we want to get where we want to be, he is going to have to play well for us and he certainly played well for us tonight.”

– Rangers coach John Tortorella

I wonder what size pads the 6’7″ Valiquette will be wearing under the new regulations?

Valiquette had his four-month old son in the crowd to see him blank the ducks.
