Playoff countdown: Other Mason has Blues in contention

Chris Mason‘s 35 consecutive appearances in net for the St. Louis Blues is remarkable considering it took Mason nine pro seasons to register his first 35 NHL games.

“I mean this as a compliment, but I don’t think he was that great of a goalie when he started his career,” said his agent Tom Laidlaw, a former NHL player. “But he made himself into a top goalie.”  read full article

Sportswriters don’t cheer for teams. We cheer for stories. And no matter what the final fate of the Edmonton Oilers, Roloson is wrapping up this season as a sensational story.

Alex Auld is making a pretty good case to be part of the Senators’ plans for next year.

The goalie has been instrumental in the Ducks’ recent drive toward the playoffs so maybe it’s time for fans to reward him with one of those cool monikers.
