NHL Goalies

Craig Anderson in Colorado is the hottest hand in the NHL right now -carrying the Avs to the top of the league when no one would have been surprised to see them at the bottom.

Avs worst in NHL at allowing shots, but goalie Anderson has gotten job done

  1. James says:

    Jiggy for Toskala?

I wonder who wins on that trade?

  2. Nick says:

Given their current situations, I think both could use the change of scenery. Anaheim wins that deal based on 1) they shed Jiggy’s contract and 2) still have a ‘proven’ goalie in Hiller. Gustavsson still has to get a few games (and/or playoffs) under his belt to prove his worth.

I like the article above talking about crease-crashing (Osgood wanting more consistent refereeing above). I predict some rule changes regarding head shots and/or pile-driving goalies next season. Who will be the first star goalie who jacks his knee and is out for the season because a player falls on him?
