Rangers’ Talbot Robs Nicklas Backstrom With Epic Glove Save

When superstar starter Henrik Lundqvist was sidelined with a neck injury, many feared the Rangers season might buckle – instead ‘The Blueshirts’ have risen to the top of the Metropolitan Division, thanks in part to the outstanding play of Cam Talbot.

The Ontario native’s great form was perfectly underlined by this tremendous save on Washington’s Nicklas Backstrom Wednesday night, as the Rangers secured a big 3-1 win over the Capitals to move in to 1st place in the East:

27-year old Talbot has been outstanding since Lundqvist was placed on the injured reserve in early February, stoning the Flames and Blackhawks during an impressive run that has now seen his record improve to 15-6-4 whilst posting a .922 save percentage and 2.28 GAA in 27 games this season.
