With seven goalies invited to the Boston Bruins training camp this season there was ample opportunity to get a few good shots of some masks.  Manny Fernandez is no longer sharing goaltending duties with Tim Thomas, so competition was wide open for a backup goaltender. Some of this years invitees that I shot were Dany Sabourin, Adam Courchaine, Michael Hutchinson and of course Tim Thomas.

Dany had a good preseason and was in the running for backup goalie with Tuukka Rask but was recently sent to the Bruins AHL affiliate,  Providence Bruins.

As training camp winds down it appears Tuukka Rask will be the backup to Tim Thomas. I was unable to get a good close up of Tuukka’s mask so if any of our readers have a good shot, please feel free to send it in.  We’d love to publish that and any other goalie mask you might have.
