About The Author

David is one of the founders of InGoal Magazine which he began in 2009. Of course he finds time for some goaltending of his own as well, and despite his age, clings desperately to the idea that some NHL team will call him to play for them - though in his mid-forties (OK, late 40s) it'll likely be for a practice when everyone else on their depth chart has the flu and the shooter tutor has gone in for repairs.

  3. The adjustable toe-ties will really help with keeping pressure off the knee joints by allowing the angle of knee bend to decrease when dropping down to the ice. A good feature.

  38. As an older, but still very active goalie, I am teaching my eight-year-old goalie the importance of gear selection and how critical it is to have confidence in your gear to maximize your effectiveness in goal. I am a loyal Vaughn user and would not think about using another product. Keep up the good work!

  44. As a retired veteran here in Canada and still playing in the local garrison league. These new pads would be awesome and a lot lighter to play in than my 10 year old pads. Maybe a vet could win them.

  45. I love my V3’s but it’s time for an upgrade!

  46. The new Ventus construction looks great. The adjustable foot cup, plus the wider landing area will allow for a wider butterfly and the bigger sliding area for the backside push which means a quicker adjustment on the puck movement. Looking forward to the draw.
