Let’s see if you the readers can choose Friday’s save of the night. We present three fine examples of goaltending here from Friday’s games and a poll. Do you like Steve Mason’s great lateral movement to make a shoulder stop on Sidney Crosby? Perhaps you give the Leafs’ new number one Jonas ‘Monster’ Gustavsson serious style points for his work on Friday? Or do you like Carey Price doing is old school by stacking the pads.

  1. Mase. Hands down. That was unbelievable. It’s one thing to get over for that shot down low but another to get it up high. Wow.

  2. James says:

I’ll second that if only because I’m a Sabres fan and can’t vote for a Leaf or a Hab.

  3. Nick says:

I like Price’s best. The other plays were even coverage, and Price’s was an odd-man rush which was further complicated by the shot getting deflected off his own defensemen. Plus he made it look easy.

  4. Russ says:

Price had the best save. He turned down what could have easily been a goal on a tricky play. The other two saves were okay, but if you ask me, both of them were kinda lucky.
