Bridgeport Sound Tigers vs Lowell Devils

I went down to the Tsongas Arena this past Friday hoping to shoot Islanders goalie Rick DiPietro in a rehab start with the Sound Tigers. Unfortunately, I was a day early as he started the next night against the Springfield Falcons. However, I was still treated to a good game of hockey between the Devils and the Sound Tigers, and lots of photo ops of their goalies.

Mike McKenna, in goal for the Devils, picked up his 8th win of the season with a 5-1 victory over Bridgeport. Mc Kenna stopped 30 shots on the night, and had his bid for a shutout spoiled at 7:32 in third period when Trevor Smith scored his 9th goal of the season.

Scott Munroe was in net for the Sound Tigers and took the loss, stopping 23 0f 28 shots. The Devils goals were scored by Nick Palmieri (2), Brad Mills, Nathan Perkovich and Michael Swift.
