Jonathan Bernier, Manchester Monarchs
Congratulations go out to Manchester Monarchs goalie Jonathan Bernier. The AHL has named Bernier the Reebock/AHL Goaltender of the Month for October. In seven starts he posted a (6-1-0) record, two shutouts, a 1.29 goals-against-average and a .963 save percentage.
I thought now would be a good time to show a couple of pictures of his mask. I was able to get the shots during the pregame warmups last Saturday night against the Worcester Sharks. I anticipate having some action shots of him between the pipes in the very near future.

Sweet lid! It’s nice to see that he has an additional mascot (with the lion) to include in the design on the mask. The Kings’ goalies are pretty much relegated to include personal designs/features on their masks aside from some semblance of the kings’ crown logo.
I’m pleasantly surprised to see how patient the Kings have been with Bernier.
