Chicago goalie Antti Niemi strip searched after robbing Nashville
Twitter went nuts on Saturday when Chicago goalie Antti Niemi took the idea of robbing Nashville shooters to a new level, losing the puck in his gear and prompting the officials to conduct an extended on-ice search. The length of time it took before the puck was finally located was remarkable, but in this day of oversized and loose fitting gear it really shouldn’t have come as much of a surprise!

Oversized??? OUCH!!! What about the days of the 15″ pads…..heck we are in the days of undersized if you ask me!
As the guy says: it’s like the end scene of Slapshot…
I had this happen to me in one of my games a few weeks ago. Apparently the refs at my beer league level don’t get paid enough that they didn’t wanna feel down my pants to find the puck!
toews is such a good guy, i wish the luck tonight against the canuks but i hope luongo wins it.
