While Detroit ultimately won game 5 and the series, Cristobal Huet preserved the game and allowed it to go into OT with a mere 17 seconds remaining by making the save of the night against Johan Franzen.

    The fact that he tracks the puck and then lifts his leg to actively make that save is the amazing part! That wasn’t accidental!

    I can’t stop watching that save. And laughing with delight over it every time. Save of the year?

    I know when I saw that save live, I was in shock. It really is one of the greatest saves ever, considering the time the save was made. To bad they couldn’t get the win, or it would of been even more talked about.

    Yea they showed Khabibulin making that exact same save a few games earlier. Its obviously practiced.
