InGoal Radio Podcast Episode 34: Ian Clark
In this Episode of the InGoal Radio Podcast presented by The Hockey Shop Source for Sports, Kevin takes a drive through Vancouver with Canucks Goaltending Coach Ian Clark, the man who literally wrote the book on modern butterfly goaltending. From becoming an NHL coach with no pro playing experience to his 7 keys to elite goaltending, this is an inspiring and informative piece that will help goalies and coaches of all ages.
Back at the Hockey Shop with Cam for the gear segment, we look at the Oneiric Undergarment for goaltenders which we have previously reviewed here at InGoal.

I love the podcasts! So much great information every week. Listening to Ian Clark’s 7 keys to goaltending, I only pick up 6. I’ve replayed it a few times and keep coming up with only 6 keys. What did I miss? I’ve taken too many pucks to the head I guess…
OR we have….. 🙂 Will have to go back and count ourselves. Thanks for the compliments and for listening!
David and the rest of the In Goal Podcast team, I have to say the same we, my son Rex and I love listening to the podcasts as we are traveling to practices or games and constantly refer to them while I am speaking with goalies, coaches, parents, and trainers. I too replayed the Ian Clark episode several times and made notes on the 7 big ticket essential items needed for goalies to reach elite levels, but I too only counted 6. Maybe you could reach out to Ian and ask what the seventh one was that might have been missed or was it merged into one of the 6 that Tim and I counted?
Thanks and keep the podcasts coming.
PS. I have to say I love the service from the Hockey Shop in Surrey. Unfortunately its literally on the other side of the province so we can’t enjoy the slice of goalie heaven in person but I have ordered several items including the new white inner glove for the catcher, everything arrives fast and well packaged.
