Week seven of the 2015-2016 NHL season has come and gone, and the amazing saves continue to pile up. This week we were treated to possibly the greatest 3-on-3 overtime save that we’ve seen so far, made by Chicago’s Corey Crawford, and a behind-the-back glove stop by Calgary’s Karri Ramo. Both were incredible, and easy decisions to make the top of the list.
Enjoy those saves and more in the top ten NHL saves of the week for November 16th to 22nd:
Sergei Bobrovsky – Columbus Blue Jackets
James Neal is pretty dangerous in that spot on the ice, but Bobrovsky handles it!
Cory Schneider – New Jersey Devils
Burrows couldn’t raise the puck, but credit Schneider for getting something in the way.
Cam Ward – Carolina Hurricanes
Cam Ward is able to stretch just far enough to make a HUGE glove stop!
James Reimer – Toronto Maple Leafs
This is a shootout save, but it’s too sweet to leave off the list this week.
Braden Holtby – Washington Capitals
Holtby keeps his eye on it and rifles the puck away before it crosses the goal line.
Pekka Rinne – Nashville Predators
Hagelin tries the rarely used clapper-on-a-breakaway technique, but Rinne denies him twice!
Curtis McElhinney – Columbus Blue Jackets
McElhinney stones Zibanejad at the side of the net after the first shot hits the post.
Frederik Andersen – Anaheim Ducks
And to think that this was an off game for Andersen!
Karri Ramo – Calgary Flames
Ramo gets into trouble by being aggressive, but bails himself out in a major way!
Corey Crawford – Chicago Blackhawks
The best 3-on-3 overtime save of the season? I think so!
