NHL Saves of the Week: November 23 – 29

Cory Schneider has been having a pretty solid season, but was flying under the radar for most NHL fans. With two games against Montreal this week in which he stood on his head, that has since changed. A pair of his incredible stops have made their way up the list this week, and has vaulted the New Jersey Devils into the thick of the wildcard race.

This week’s list is rounded out by a headfirst diving save by Craig Anderson of the Ottawa Senators, and a brilliant overtime glove save by Boston’s Tuukka Rask. Check those saves out and more in the top ten saves of the week for November 23rd to 29th:

Linus Ullmark – Buffalo Sabres

Ullmark makes a huge windmill glove save on a breakaway!

Petr Mrazek – Detroit Red Wings

Big rebound chance for Pirri is denied by Mrazek’s pad.

Marc-Andre Fleury – Pittsburgh Penguins

Fleury just gets across in time to get his arm on it!

Jonathan Quick – Los Angeles Kings

Quick is saved by some excellent stick positioning in the five-hole here.

James Reimer – Toronto Maple Leafs

Reimer with the big stretch across the crease!

Martin Jones – San Jose Sharks

Continuing his hot start to the year, Martin Jones makes another excellent stop.

Cory Schneider – New Jersey Devils

And to think, this somehow wasn’t even the best stop he made this week!

Tuukka Rask – Boston Bruins

Craig Anderson – Ottawa Senators

Anderson dives head first and stops it with his shoulder!
