NHL Saves of the Week: November 30 – December 6

Now that we’re into the month of December, the grind of the regular season is starting to wear on some goaltenders – while others are just finding their groove. With Ondrej Pavelec, Ben Bishop, James Reimer, and Devan Dubnyk all sustaining injuries in the past two weeks, some new names have started to appear around the league.
Toronto’s Garret Sparks and Winnipeg’s Connor Hellebuyck both make their debuts on the NHL saves of the week, with Sparks replacing the injured Reimer, and Hellebuyck replacing Pavelec. Nashville’s Pekka Rinne also made two jaw-dropping paddle saves with his stick this week, which were virtually identical. Neither of them were as good as this week’s number one save, though.
Check those saves out and more in the NHL saves of the week for November 30th to December 6th:
#10
Jacob Markstrom – Vancouver Canucks
#9
Garret Sparks – Toronto Maple Leafs

Sparks has had a whirlwind start to his NHL career, but his game against St. Louis may have been his best.
#8
Jonathan Quick – Los Angeles Kings
#7
Connor Hellebuyck – Winnipeg Jets
#6
Karri Ramo – Calgary Flames

This game wasn’t the definition of a goalie’s duel, but Ramo was there for the big save when Calgary needed him.
