NHL Saves of the Week(s): January 25 – February 7

With the all-star break shortening the previous week, this week’s top saves list combines all of the games that were played from January 25th to February 7th. There were plenty of options to choose from, including two incredible stops from Chad Johnson, two from goaltenders for the Pittsburgh Penguins, and a brilliant paddle stop from none other than Jonathan Quick.

Enjoy those saves and more in this week’s NHL saves of the week!

Cam Talbot – Edmonton Oilers

Foligno uses some great strength to even get a shot off here, but Talbot snatches it with the glove!

Antti Niemi – Dallas Stars

The definition of a game-saving stop by Antti Niemi.

Andrei Vasilevskiy – Tampa Bay Lightning

That flexibility while in reverse-VH sure comes in handy for Vasilevskiy.

Chad Johnson – Buffalo Sabres

Johnson1 (2)

Patrice Bergeron couldn’t believe his eyes at this overtime save by Johnson.

Marc-Andre Fleury – Pittsburgh Penguins

Full stretch! Just another day at the office for Fleury.

Jeff Zatkoff – Pittsburgh Penguins

No Fleury? No problem with Jeff Zatkoff making saves like this.

Braden Holtby – Washington Capitals

Umberger’s goalless drought continues thanks to the glove of Holtby!

Devan Dubnyk – Minnesota Wild

Unbelievable move by Dubnyk to get his blocker hand over.

Jonathan Quick – Los Angeles Kings

Unconventional paddle save by Quick, but it works!

Chad Johnson – Buffalo Sabres

The net’s as wide open as it gets, but somehow Johnson gets the paddle of his stick on it!
