Brian’s Pad of the Week: German Pro League Customs

Bobby Goepfert Dusseldorfer EG DEL pads fullAnother professional goaltender has decided to add a custom look to his new pads from Brian’s Custom Sports, and while these beauties won’t be on display in North America this season, they are worth showing off here.

Bobby Goepfert, a one-time Pittsburgh Penguins draft pick who has spent three of his last four seasons playing in Germany’s top tier Deutsche Eishockey Liga (DEL), is heading back overseas in style with a new set of G-NETik pads designed to match the colours and logo of his team, Dusseldorfer EG.

In addition to the customized use of the team’s Lion logo and the added touch of flames, Goepfert’s new G-NETiks will perfectly match both the red- and yellow-based home and away jersey’s of his DEL team.

On top of the team touches, he has added a retro look, with old-school Brian’s logos and vertical stitching, all part of the unlimited custom options that separate Brian’s. It’s a set that’s worth a second look here, and will undoubtedly get a few double takes over there:
