Ray Emery’s Chicago Blackhawk’s Gear by Brian’s

Looking for Emery’s mask? We have that too.

Our good friends at Brian’s sent along the new gear they have created for Ray Emery this season in Chicago. The tribal graphics carry over from last seasons gear in Anaheim, and inspired the look of his new Blackhawks mask just completed by Montreal’s David Leroux.

Essentially the same as last year’s gear, Emery has added the sliding toe bridge to his setup this season.

David Hutchison

David is one of the founders of InGoal Magazine which he began in 2009. Of course he finds time for some goaltending of his own as well, and despite his age, clings desperately to the idea that some NHL team will call him to play for them - though in his mid-forties (OK, late 40s) it'll likely be for a practice when everyone else on their depth chart has the flu and the shooter tutor has gone in for repairs.

Another goalie who seems to like the pad with no break in the outer roll i.e. a straight and flat pad like Niemi and co. What I find amazing is that when I looked at Youtube highlights of Jonas Hiller, another board-straight afficionado, when he was doing all his scrambling and b-fly pushing, the puck didn’t seem to be finding its way through his legs very often, even though the total lack of curve on the pads left a rather gaping hole much of the time. Maybe it is because Hiller is so flexible that when he goes down he usually ends up in a full split position where his thighs and butt seal the gap along the ice…

I like the skate lace on the trapper.
