Maria Mountain from Goalie Training Pro returns this week to talk about an important topic for all goalies – speed – and how to build it properly by training your outer range power.

Maria has been an incredible resource for goalie-specific training ever since we got started here at InGoal, and has gone on to train NHL goalies like Carter Hutton, spend time with NHL teams like the Buffalo Sabres, and been invited all over the world to work with goalies and speak and goaltending conferences and symposiums, so we’re beyond thrilled to have her back again to share exclusive advice for our Premium Members. This time, Maria takes a closer look at developing outer range power, which allows goalies to move laterally with speed without taking the extra time to load up a full push. She shares four new drills and progressions, working from the knees and standing, using resistance bands and a do-it-yourself slide board to add variety and options to the exercises.
