The idea of seeing Henrik Lundqvist in anything but a New York Rangers jersey and his signature matching equipment is hard for goalies to wrap their heads around, but there is one constant we can continue counting on: the way Lundqvist wraps his hand around his stick.
The squared-off inside shoulder has long been a staple for Lundqvist, and there’s no reason to think it won’t continue with the Washington Capitals, especially after he switched to a Bauer Vapor 2X Pro composite stick with his unique handle.
