Devils’ Schneider Has Awesome New Fan-Designed Mask

New Jersey’s Cory Schneider has unveiled his brand new mask, designed by Devils fan Shawn Berhman.

The 29-year old puck stopper challenged fans to create a brand new design for his mask this season, with Berham selected as one of five finalists during the summer.

Schneider selected the winning design in August, before teaming up with Dave Gunnarsson of DaveArt to transfer Shawn’s brilliant idea from paper to mask.

As winner of the contest, Berham also received four tickets to a Devils home game, a goalie stick signed by Schneider and the chance to the Massachusetts native and see the mask first hand; though the pair also caught up in the pre-season.

Schneider has been in sparkling form for New Jersey again this season, as the Devils early success propelled the organisation in to the Eastern Conference’s top eight.

In 25 games for the club, Schneider has gone 13-8-4 with a .924 save percentage and 2.17 goals-against average, with one shutout.

You can find more of Gunnarsson’s work on his website, Twitter feed, Facebook page and Instagram account. Meanwhile, check out these great close ups of Schneider’s awesome new mask:
