Anders Lindback’s 2010-2011 Nashville Predators Mask

Anders Lindback Nashville Predators Goalie MaskYesterday InGoal’s Kevin Woodley wrote about the Nashville rookie in his profile of the Preds goaltending tandem. Tonight Lindback got his first NHL start against Chicago, earning his second victory by stopping 23 of 25 shots in a 3-2 win.

Dave Gunnarsson has added to his extensive resume of NHL masks by creating Lindback’s helmet art this season. The design is a real standout for the original way he has made use of simple and bold graphics.

The Preds goaltending situation was only clear in the number one slot this pre-season so its no surprise the 6’6″ Lindback asked Dave to create a design that is two parts Milwaukee Admirals and one part Predator on the top.

David is one of the founders of InGoal Magazine which he began in 2009. Of course he finds time for some goaltending of his own as well, and despite his age, clings desperately to the idea that some NHL team will call him to play for them - though in his mid-forties (OK, late 40s) it'll likely be for a practice when everyone else on their depth chart has the flu and the shooter tutor has gone in for repairs.
