Check Out Jhonas Enroth’s Awesome Retro Kings Mask

enroth_sideLos Angeles’ puck stopper Jhonas Enroth has unveiled a funky new mask design, using the Kings’ retro gold and purple colours.

It’s not the first time the 27-year old has adopted a classic look, having used a sleek black and white number for much of the season.

The Stockholm, Sweden native once again teamed up with fellow countryman Dave Gunnarsson of DaveArt to produce this awesome new design – with the painted cage a particular highlight of this striking design.

Drafted in the 2nd round of the 2009 NHL Entry Draft (46th overall) by Buffalo , Enroth spent part of six seasons with the Sabres organisation before being traded to Dallas last term.

The former Sodertalje stopper hit unrestricted free agency in the summer, but quickly found a new home in LA after signing a 1-year deal with the Kings on July 1st.

Serving as backup to Jonathan Quick this season, Enroth is currently 3-3-1 with a .930 save percentage and 2.18 goals-against average, extending his career record to 46-64-15 with .911 save percentage and 2.84 goals-against average.

You can find more of Gunnarsson’s great work on his website, Twitter feed, Facebook page and Instagram. Meanwhile, check out these great close ups of Enroth’s new mask:

This is keeping it simple, just like the Miller retro mask. Real classy stuff.
