Classic Landscape Design For Isles’ Prospect Trudeau

Classic Landscape Design For Isles’ Prospect Trudeau

Trudeau TopPhilippe Trudeau was signed to an amateur tryout by the Binghamton Senators last March. Since then, Trudeau has moved around a bit. A week after the ATO for the Sens, he was signed for a similar tryout with the AHL Bridgeport Sound Tigers. Eventually, he was moved to the ECHL Stockton Thunder, the East Coast Hockey League affiliate for the New York Islanders. Thanks to Sylvie Marsolais of Sylabrush Airbrush, Trudeau has a new mask that represents the AHL Sound Tigers, as well as the New York Islanders. The undrafted 21 year old asked for a classic makeup that showcased the Bridgeport City cityscape. We think it’s a great design.

On the left side, a moored sailboat sits beside a dock in the foreground and the city rises up in the background, with a tall orange and white smokestack standing tallest. On the right side, a beach setting along the boardwalk has kids playing, a surfer running into the waves, and even a small plane flying through the sky. Trudeau and Marsolais are doing a great job of appealing to the Bridgeport City fans!

The chin of the mask is adorned with Trudeau’s nickname, Truds. It sits between two chrome New York Islanders’ logos. The Sound Tigers’ logo dominates the top of the mask, with the mouth roaring just above the white cage of the mask. On the back of the mask, a huge Islanders logo is superimposed on the backplate. It’s a simple design that looks solid and clean.

Currently playing for the ECHL Stockton Thunder, Trudeau has gone 1-2-0 with a .885 SV% and a 4.36 GAA. It’s early in the year, and Trudeau is likely still settling into his game. After four years in the QMJHL, Trudeau went undrafted and bounced around before landing in Stockton. He has an opportunity to make some starts and gain some experience in the ECHL before perhaps making the jump back to the AHL Sound Tigers.

Marsolais has painted for goalies playing at all levels of hockey. Her latest mask was a great rendition of E.T. for Étienne Marcoux of the Utah Grizzlies.
