Enroth Adopts Classic Look For New Kings Mask

New Los Angeles Kings’ goaltender Jhonas Enroth will be sporting something of a retro look this season, after teaming up with Dave Gunnarsson of DaveArt to produce a new mask design.

Sporting the classic Kings’ crown and the distinctive LA lettering, the elegant design fits perfectly with the clubs sleek look and harks back to the simpler designs many netminders used to use.

“Jhonas and I have been working together for more than a decade, and it is always so exciting to brainstorm new design ideas with Jhonas and came up with new design solutions.” Gunnarsson wrote on his Facebook page. “This new Los Angeles Kings mask is created in a very clean and classic way, all built on the LA Kings logos.”

The 27-year old joined the Kings as an unrestricted free agent this summer, following a brief stint with the Stars at the end of last year. Enroth had spent five and a half seasons with the Buffalo Sabres organisation before being traded to Dallas.

You can find more of Gunnarsson’s great artwork on his website, Twitter feed, Facebook page and Instagram account. Meanwhile, check out these close ups of Enroth’s new mask:
