Cam Talbot auctioning game-used mask to benefit youth sports
Many noticed Edmonton Oilers No. 1 goaltender Cam Talbot was missing his familiar Ghostbusters-themed mask against the Vancouver Canucks on Saturday. Don’t worry, it won’t be gone long.
Talbot was wearing a special DaveArt-painted charity mask for one game instead, and now you have a chance to buy the game-worn mask at auction, and support youth sports at the same time.
The auction is live until January 28, and net proceeds from the auction will go to Sport Central, which helps to equip nearly 9,000 kids a year with bikes, hockey gear, and any other form of sports equipment that will get them into the game. If the winner wants to have it signed by Talbot, the organizers have promised they can make that happen, and don’t worry about it looking game-used after just one game:
