Lieuwen Unveils New Sabres Mask

Buffalo Sabres netminder Nathan Lieuwen has unveiled a sleek new mask design for the 2015-16 season.

Sporting a large Sabres logo on one side and a beautiful night time river scene on the other, the use of a limited colours ensure Lieuwen’s team up with Stephane Bergeron of Griff Originale has produced a simple but elegant design.

After making seven appearances for the Sabres last season, Lieuwen went in to the season expecting to spend much of the year with Rochester in the AHL. But an injury to starter Robyn Lehner during the Sabres’ season opener brought the former Kootenay Ice puck stopper back to the NHL fold, with Lieuwen currently helping former Boston Bruins and New York Islanders netminder Chad Johnson man the Buffalo crease.
