Buffalo’s Linus Ullmark looks set to make his NHL debut this weekend, and the 22-year old will do so wearing one of the best mask designs InGoal has seen recently.

After taking over movie theatres this summer, Ullmark is bringing the Minions to the NHL after teaming up with Dave Gunnarsson of DaveArt to create this zany new design.

“Linus Ullmark’s yellow buddy wanted to try to be a goalie,” Gunnarsson said on his Facebook page “So he taped himself up on Linus’ mask with straps and office tape… Now he is ready for action!”

The design also shows the Buffalo Sabres logo and Rochester Americans logo, where Ullmark went 1-3-2 with a .932 save percentage and 2.72 goals-against average before being recalled by the Sabres on Friday.

The Lugnvik, Sweden native was selected 163rd overall by Buffalo at the 2012 NHL Entry Draft and spent ten years with the Modo organisation in Sweden, where he won the Honken Trophy as the Swedish Goaltender of the Year in 2014, before moving to North America this summer.

He was also the top ranked Buffalo Sabres goaltender in our top 50 prospect rankings at the beginning of the season at 32nd overall.

With Ullmark being recalled from Rochester of the AHL, 24-year old Nathan Lieuwen has been sent down in his place.

You can find more of Gunnarsson’s great artwork on his website, Twitter feed, Facebook page and Instagram account. Meanwhile, check out these close ups of Ullman’s awesome new Minions mask:
