AHL Goalie News — Wednesday, Oct. 21

Sorry for the lack of AHL updates. Been under the weather and, simultaneously, playing too much of my own hockey, which is why I was under the weather, but you never say no to free ice time, right?

Game Reports

  • After crushing spirits around the West Division, the Texas Stars finally met their match in Lake Erie rookie Trevor Cann, who, along with a defense that allowed ZERO shots on goal in the second period, shut the Stars out 4-0 Tuesday night in Cedar Park, TX. (Plain Dealer)

  • Aaron Sorochan, rookie netminder for the Springfield Falcons didn’t exactly have the fairy tale introduction to the pros he’d hoped for, getting shelled by Manchester Sunday. (The Republican)

About The Author

Heather Galindo

I cover the AHL Houston Aeros for ProHockeyNews.com, which has focused my passion for goaltending on minor league goalies mainly in the AHL. To stay abreast of every last drop of AHL goalie news, follow me at @InGoalMagAHL on Twitter while the big news, analysis, etc. will be posted here at InGoalMag.com. I was so inspired by watching the goalies here in Houston a few years ago that I went out and learned to skate and play hockey in order to become a goalie myself. So far I'm still more sieve than goalie, but I've never had more fun being so terrible at something!
