Brian’s Pad of the Week: Kings of Custom Show Off G-NETik Options

Brian'sCustomKnightLogoGNEtikpadsThe goalies over at Brian’s Custom Sports don’t call themselves the Kings of Custom for nothing.

InGoal already detailed all of the performance-based options available in Brian’s new hybrid-styled G-NETik line during our review in the October edition of the magazine, a wide range of customizations that includes a welcomed stock option to switch back and forth between their lighter Velcro-based Smart Straps, or the more traditional leather strapping – or even use a combination of the two.

We did not, however, go into great detail about custom-look options Brian’s offer. That may be a good thing, given they appear to be endless, and limited only by the imagination of goaltenders everywhere.

The proof is in past offerings like the “Ultimate Beer League pads” featuring an incredible looking can of Heinekens on each leg, or the “Money Goalie” pads so real looking you worry about counterfeit charges.

In case anyone was wondering whether those options include the new G-NETik line – or at least whether those options were available to non-pros given we’ve already featured some wicked custom sets made for Nashville Predators’ backup Chris Mason and Vancouver Canucks’ prospect Eddie Lack – check out this week’s Pads of the Week, which range from a fairly simple custom colour and team logo combinations on the gloves and blockers, to a wild set of Knight-logo pads:

Nice stuff as always! I love seeing what the folks at Brian’s can pull off!

I’m somewhat confused about the glove and blocker set though, as the RH Lightning are a ringette team and last time I checked they dont use the same glove as a hockey goalie. Curious… 🙂
