Carey Price’s Emotional Meeting with Hometown Boy

When he’s not dominating on the ice this season, Carey Price has also been showing a lot of his personal side. Price was caught making a young fan’s day a week and a half ago by posing for a selfie with him during a game, and now he’s at it again.

The Montreal Canadiens netminder hails from Anahim Lake, British Columbia, and still has a strong connection to his small hometown. On top of sponsoring two breakfast programs at schools in the area, Price staged a meeting with an Anahim Lake Elementary-Junior Secondary School student named Trent Leon.

Isn’t that fantastic?

After flying out to meet his idol Price, Leon was able to spend some time on the ice with the keeper, and even exchanged a few gifts – including a jersey to take home.

Price definitely started to get emotional when he was handed the gifts from the students, showing all of the support he still has from his hometown. Price is clearly an inspiration to those children, and it looked like an amazing experience for both of them.

Carey Price could be bringing some hardware back to Anahim Lake at the end of the season, so it may not be long before they meet again.
