CCM Extreme Flex Pro Special Edition Review

CCM Extreme Flex Pro Special Edition Review

CCM Cover 250 pxInGoal Magazine was the first to get an up-close look at the new CCM Extreme Flex Pro pads back in September, including a day on the ice with Canadiens’ star Carey Price and a visit to the Montreal factory of legendary father-and-son equipment designers Michel and Patrick Lefevre.

Now, after more than a month of testing with goaltenders from a wide range of backgrounds and experience ranging from beer league to major junior and Canadian University, InGoal has launched the first in-depth review of the new line from hockey’s oldest manufacturer. With 16 pages of images and information, it provides a complete breakdown of what to expect – and contrary to the assumptions of some, what not to expect – from a line that was built around the puck-stopping preferences of Price.

The CCM Extreme Flex Pro was designed to be a softer, more flexible alternative to the Reebok P4 line, with a flatter boot break that allowed the goaltender to feel more connected to the pad, especially down around the skate and shin, moving with them as a more-responsive extension that is ideal for those goalies that like to play a more reactive or athletic style.

I like that CCM has come up with a new look in goalie gear . The new look reminds me of my koho 590 pro sieres pads !! I love the look and would love to have my own set of custom gear from CCM !!! great job guys !!!!

  4. Victor Troiano

Always go to see CCM back in the show. The new pads remind me of the original Gatekeeper pads. I always hope that CCM will eventually redo the CCM Vector Pro Pattern, Miller and Brodeur.
