A Whirlwind The newest member of the Penguins organization former Northeastern goaltender Brad Thiessen blogs about his signing with Pittsburgh.

“Well I finally have a little bit of time to sit down and write some thoughts from the last few days.  It’s been a whirlwind of events and I haven’t slept much, or stopped smiling over that period.”

“This past week, the bends in Thomas’s hockey road were justified when he signed a four-year, $20 million contract extension, a payday that seemed so long in coming. Thomas has a no-trade clause for the first three years of the contract. There are no restrictions on the fourth year, when he will be paid $3 million.”
