Toronto Maple Leafs goaltender Ben Scrivens is working to raise money for Special Olympics Canada and InGoal readers can help.

Scrivens, who has long been a favourite of InGoal for both his insightful thoughts about the position we all play and his willingness to make time to share them with our readers, is taking part in a day-long fundraiser called Marathon of Sport this Saturday, June 1, with all funds donated to the Special Olympic Canada Foundation.

Scrivens announced his participation, which will see him compete alongside Special Olympic Athletes in a variety of sports like basketball, soccer, volleyball, football, and ultimate frisbee, on his Twitter feed:

As you can see, Scrivens is matching donations up to $1,000, but that’s not all.

He’s also giving away a signed stick:

It’s easy to donate, just CLICK HERE for Scriven’s information donation page, and click the “donate now” button. It’s so easy even InGoal editors figured out how to donate.

As for all that goaltending talk from Scrivens, who is coming off his first full season in the NHL with the Maple Leafs, be sure to check out the in-depth Q&A session that ran in the last edition of InGoal Magazine, as well as the downloadable desktop poster presented by Vaughn Hockey that was included.
