If you follow him on Twitter – and if you are a goalie, you should – you already know by know that the delusiona … err … legendary beer leagu … err … aspiring professional goaltender Kane Van Gate clinched a second-straight BHL championship t-shirt on Thursday night.

The “T-Peat” is complete!

Kate Van Gate celebrated another BHL title on Twitter Thursday night. We're pretty sure hilarity ensued at the after parties.

Kane Van Gate celebrated another BHL title on Twitter Thursday night. We’re pretty sure hilarity ensued at the after parties.

For those goalies still wondering who the heck is Kane Van Gate – of KVG, as his custom shoes declare – it’s time to get caught up on the BHL Life, an often hilarious look at the exploits of “Gatesy” in “the most competitive senior men’s league in the world.”

In celebration of Van Gate’s second-straight BHL Championship – don’t tell him it’s just summer league – we’ll return InGoal readers to where it all started: BHL 36, the documentary-style short inspired by the NHL36 episodes a year ago that launched “The BHL Life” spin off series, which now sits at four episodes … and counting.

You can find all four of the shorter episodes at the Hockey Shorties Youtube page, including cameos from real … err … fellow professional goaltenders. InGoal will roll them out here over the coming week as well, but for a primer to this entertaining look at the life of a beer league try hard, watch the film that started it all:

As a huge fan and follower of Kane Van Gate I believe that you have misspelled this legends first name. It is KANE Van Gate not Kate. Great article though.
