Luongo Jokes About Long Distance Goal

It didn’t take Roberto Luongo very long to shake off a weak goal given up on Tuesday night.

Late in the second period Anaheim Ducks forward Tim Jackman was in the neutral zone when he dumped a puck in on the Florida Panthers net, which found a way to bounce and elude Luongo’s glove.

Luongo Fail
Luongo and his teammates would have the last laugh as they went on to beat the Ducks easily by a score of 6-2. He actually played quite well, making 31 stops in the game.

Ilya Bryzgalov had another rough start for the Ducks. He was pulled earlier in the game after allowing 3 goals on 8 shots. With Frederik Andersen out of action due to an injury, John Gibson would come in relief to finish the game.

Luongo joked after the game with reporters, and called it a “perfect shot.” Shortly after that, he had some fun with followers of his @Strombone1 account, tweeting this picture of a “modified” glove:

There has been no word yet if the modification is NHL legal.

Roberto needs to talk to his little league baseball coach, wasn’t he taught to get his body behind the glove on bouncers?
