Khudobin over Zatkoff in Shootout

Anton Khudobin picked up his fifth victory (5-6-0) of the season with a 3-2 shootout win over Jeff Zatkoff and the Monarchs.

Doby stopped 27 of 29 shots for the P-Bruins in regulation and denied all Monarchs shooters in the six round shootout. Khudobin’s offensive support came from Josh Hennessy and Zach McKelvie during regulation and Hennessy again in the shootout.

Zatkoff (1-2-1) took his first shootout loss of the season stopping 26-of-28 shots in regulation and 5-of-6 in the shootout.

Also of particular interest in the photos above are new masks worn by both P-Bruins goalies. Anton Khudobin is sporting a mask that somewhat resembles that of Tuukka Rask’s mask and Michael Hitchinson has finally put paint to his white mask that he wore all last season.

Hutchinson sent his mask off to Montreal’s Dave Leroux of Diel Airbrush with a couple of small requests, both Bruins logos – Boston and Providence – and to go either with a bear theme or a tribute to great Bruins.

Leroux went with a tribute theme and picked two perfect Bruins icons in the form of Bobby Orr and Gerry Cheevers to adorn the sides of the mask.
