Ondrej Pavelec

Pavelec(20-22-9), who has been backing up Chris Mason 4 of the last 5 games, got the start for the Thrashers and stopped 20 of 23 shot on the afternoon.

Tied 2-2 in the third frame, Michael Ryder was awarded a penalty shot when he was dragged down by Thrashers defenseman Zach Bogosian. Ryder skated in and sent a wristshot high glove-side past Pavelec for the game winner.

Highlights this season for Pavelec include career highs of 54 games played, 20 wins and 3 shutouts.

Tuukka Rask

It was Tuukka time Saturday afternoon as the Bruins continued to tune up for the playoffs. Rask, 5-2-1 in his last 8 starts, picked up his 11th win of season when he stopped 28 of 30 shots.

“He was big for us tonight,” said Bruins coach Claude Julien. “That’s what you want out of Tuukka [Rask] right now. It gives us a lot of confidence, as I keep saying, every time he plays. It’s nice to see that you have two good goaltenders that you can rely on no matter who is in.”

Rask picked up his first penalty minutes of the season for delay of game in the first period.
